Let’s Discuss SPARQL
Dan Connolly writes to the DAWG mailing list:I finally got around to having this mailing list made: http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-sparql-dev/ I think the SemWeb IG meeting prompted me to do it. See SwigAtTp2006 including notes on the “next steps for SPARQL” session. The DAWG has decided during our last face-to-face meeting in Cannes to go into resting mode for a year or so to let SPARQL get implemented and raised in the wild until we are ready to work on SPARQL 2.0. I really think that it’s a very wise as opposed to keep letting features creep in without enough support from the community. We have left to do a few outstanding comments on the mailing list and some tests and publishing materials to sort out, but as far as new design and language development goes, we should be done. Therefore, make sure you subscribe to the list and we’ll gladly answer any questions you might have regarding usage, implementations, or language specification clarifications. Let’s SPARQL.
