Sun Web Developer Pack

My Apache Roller colleague Dave Johnson finally made an announcement about his new job/role/position on the J2EE team:
The Sun Web Developer Pack (SWDP) finally uncloaked today, so I can talk a little more openly about what I and my Java EE co-workers have been working on. You can get the full scoop at the SWDP site, but basically SWDP is a bundle of technologies to help developers build “Web 2.0″ or next-generation web applications on the Java platform.

I think it’s great to see an injection of Web 2.0 magic dust on Java since most of the attention is hoarded by the cool kids: PHP, Python and Ruby when it comes to implementing Web 2.0 applications. I’ll definitely have to check SWDP one of these days.
